i’ve been missing new york so much lately. of all the cities i’ve been to, new york city has got to be the one my heart gravitates towards the most. the more i go, the more i love it. when i was in 7th grade, i was blessed enough to spend two months on the upper east side for a ballet intensive and this past spring, i spent a week in greenwich village. here are some film pictures i took on my last visit to nyc.
while in search of ice cream, i stumbled on the brentwood country mart last weekend. its the perfect mix of kick back chill and LA classy. though i was disappointed by the ice cream (especially after hearing such great reviews), the vegetarian tacos were good, the independent bookstop is stelar and there is a darling little stationary store in the back that sells rifle stationary. overall, it was an afternoon well spent.
if you know me at all, you probably know i love being out in nature. i love hiking and camping and anything i can do in the great outdoors. exploring in the fresh mountain air is so invigorating and freeing. though i tend to gravitate towards cities, i also love to recharge in nature. one of the best things about living in california is the close proximity from the cities and suburbs to nature. within a relatively short driving distance, you can be out in what seems like the middle of nowhere, whether it be the mountains, desert or beach. but after a nature recharge, its always nice to go back home.
