most every morning, my mom and i walk around balboa island for exercise and just to catch up. it is pretty year around but it really comes alive in the summer. from summer bbqs to labor day parades, it really is the place to be in the summer. when we’re not walking, we love to get balboa bars and window shop in the cute stores like ect. ect. ect. and even sisters. so if you’re in so-cal, go!
the sawdust festival is the place to be in the summer. it is an arts and crafts festival in laguna beach where all the local artists showcase their work in little handmade booths. it’s inspiring to just walk around and look at what people have created, both awesome and weird. the food there is also really good and i’ll go there just for the mediterranean veggie plate. its that good! there are also booths for great baked potatoes and sorbet. between the art and the food and the peaceful atmosphere, the sawdust festival is my favorite summer hangout
recently, i have fallen in love with film photography. i love that it isn’t instantaneous and actually takes skill, not just lucky trial and error. i also love the quality of the film. it isn’t perfect but thats what gives it its charm. i have a few rolls to be developed but these are my favorites from some past rolls.
i traveled around europe alot this summer and these are a few of my favorite pictures. i went to ireland, scotland, england, belgium, the netherlands, austria and germany. i tried a lot of new things (like haggis… which is actually good!) and met a lot of new people and all i can say is it was an amazing summer. i made memories and friends that will last a lifetime and i’m so blessed to have had this experience
