its spring here in ohio and it is so much more beautiful than i ever could have imagined. in california, its green year around so when flowers start to bloom, its really not much of a change. but in cedarville, spring is radiant. i have especially fallen in love with the cherry blossom trees all around campus. they are just lovely and never cease to put a smile on my face. yay for spring!
i’m in the dominican republic right now spending my spring break on a mission trip with my church. these pictures are from the railroad revival concert i went to at the start of my spring break. its taken me forever to finally get the pictures sorted and edited because i took over 500! such a great show! possibly best i’ve seen! mumford and sons is one of the loves of my life but since i already saw them last year, i mainly went for edward sharpe and they did not disappoint! kayla and i scored spots in the front so it felt like we were part of the show with alex ebert jumping in the audience and dancing along with us and the incredible energy on stage. thanks edward sharpe, mumford and old crow medicine show for such an unforgettable night.
easter was amazing as ever (last years post here). despite the rainy weather (rain in california? really?), it was still a lovely day! i went to church and saw francis chan speak which was such a blessing. the rest of my day consisted of eating way too many jelly beans, my mom’s amazing french toast, hanging out with the family and making easter cookies with my cousin. this is not the outfit I intended to wear but i was too cold for a dress so this is what i kept on all day. my cute yellow vintage dress will have to wait for a sunnier day. its hard to believe this is probably my last easter home for four years but it was definitely an easter i will never forget! i leave so dominican republic tomorrow so my easter break is already off to an amazing start. hope you’re easter went well

you know how ke$ha wakes in the morning and feels like p diddy? well i woke up this morning and felt like rayanne graff. i think i’ve been watching far too much my so called life on netflix… anyways rayanne is by far my favorite character and her style is so wild and unique. it’s not only her clothes but the attitude she wears the clothes with that makes her crazy combinations work. this outfit and hairstyle is my interpretation of what rayanne would wear but obviously its pretty toned down. this is my first time wearing this granny sweater and i’m lovin it! its comfortable and warm and the subtle leaf and botanical designs really make it. so here’s to being rayanne
