i love to read and i read whatever i can get my hands on but i especially love to read about india, africa and asia
my favorite thing to do in the entire world is travel
eat, pray, love incorporates all my favorite things mentioned above and more. when i first heard about this book, i wanted to read it but I already had like a million other books stacked on my shelves to read. then i discovered there would be a movie coming out based on the book staring Julia Roberts! so basically, i had to read it! since i got it last week, i have been reading it non stop since. i swear that book is life changing! i’m not going to tell you what it is about much more than the character eats in italy, prays in india and finds love in indonesia. so please just read it. its that good

so i finally had a new blog shoot with my best friend kayla! i’m on spring break (glory hallelujah) and i’ve had a nice break so far. everyday has been full of sleeping in and relaxing, something i rarely experience during school! my inspiration for this outfit was centered around this amazing coral necklace that I bough a few summers ago while training with the joffrey ballet. it’s so unique and simple and it’s always fun to wear something with a story behind it

easter is probably favorite holidays. today is the day when Jesus conquered death! what is more awesome than that?! but i also love easter because my whole family gets together. my mother and aunt are amazing cooks so the food is always great. my dad and uncle are highly competitive so we always have hours of fun games to play like ping-pong and horse shoes. this easter, we were also joined by a 7.2 earthquake! our house shook for a whole minute. i probably shouldn’t say this but i love earthquakes. unfortunately, some of my relatives weren’t as welcoming of the incessant shaking.
ps: sorry about the poor photo quality… this is the last holiday i will have to shoot with my green devil (fujifilm finepix z20fd). i get my nikon d5000 in about 2 months! eek! can you tell i’m excited?

have you heard of mumford and sons? if not, you’re in for a treat! they are an indie folk band from england and their songs have been on repeat in my head since i first heard them. they have a lovely, old fashion sound that reminds me of sixties folk rock. i’m going to their concert on june 4th and i would be lying if i said i wasn’t beyond excited! here are of few of my favorites tunes of theirs. have a listen
