i was looking through some old instax photos and i found these pictures i took on my last week at my college. looking at them made me miss college life: waking up every morning to edward sharpe with my roommate, walking to get coffee at the most random times, morning chapels, reading my bible by the lake, late nights in the art lab with amazingly talented people, the mile long walk into town to get decent food, having to schedule my every minute in order to be productive, being creative in cafeteria, baking to de-stress with the unit mates, way too much time wasted spent on pinterest, rain, rain and more rain, making playlists for normal tasks like walking to class and studying, dressing up for no reason, sunday church rides, exploring the ohio area when i had a chance (and a car), attending tennis matches to cheer on my roomie, learning new things everyday and everything else in-between. i was so blessed to spend a year at such a fantastic place with such fantastic people. the times i spent there were some of the best of my life, especially the last few weeks of school. though i know God has other things for me, i will always feel extremely blessed and thankful when i think of the friends and memories i made my freshman year of college.
this is one of my dances from my college dance org show this weekend. this song is so hauntingly beautiful and it was a joy to dance to. plus one of my favorite people was the choreographer! how lucky can one girl be? i seriously enjoyed dancing in this piece. i’m the one with long blonde hair in a purple dress in case you were wondering.
this past week has been crazy! i had a big art assignment due plus lots preparing for my end of the year dance show. i was in 4 dances and the whole show went wonderfully. i’m so blessed by the people i have met through dancing on campus and getting to work with such great choreographers. after the show, its been a tradition to go to colonials, the local pizza joint, and fill up on their amazing pizzas and bread sticks. yum! though it was a crazy and sometimes stressful week, i know it is one i will cherish and remember forever.
its spring here in ohio and it is so much more beautiful than i ever could have imagined. in california, its green year around so when flowers start to bloom, its really not much of a change. but in cedarville, spring is radiant. i have especially fallen in love with the cherry blossom trees all around campus. they are just lovely and never cease to put a smile on my face. yay for spring!
