my best friend is going back to england to be all cool and tour with his band. whatever. after visiting for the summer, we decided to have a little late night send off and what better way to send someone off than an all night hang out and donut shop-hop? we three have been friends since we met on a mission trip to england and austria a few years back and though we never seem to be in the same place for very long, we are inseparable when we are together. i sure do love these people! by the way, if you are in the newport/ costa mesa area and want donuts, dippity donuts is the way to go. janky but oh so yummy
most every morning, my mom and i walk around balboa island for exercise and just to catch up. it is pretty year around but it really comes alive in the summer. from summer bbqs to labor day parades, it really is the place to be in the summer. when we’re not walking, we love to get balboa bars and window shop in the cute stores like ect. ect. ect. and even sisters. so if you’re in so-cal, go!
the sawdust festival is the place to be in the summer. it is an arts and crafts festival in laguna beach where all the local artists showcase their work in little handmade booths. it’s inspiring to just walk around and look at what people have created, both awesome and weird. the food there is also really good and i’ll go there just for the mediterranean veggie plate. its that good! there are also booths for great baked potatoes and sorbet. between the art and the food and the peaceful atmosphere, the sawdust festival is my favorite summer hangout
i’ve been friends with devon forever (like from birth forever). she is one of those girls i can always count on and though we don’t see each other that often, it is always epic when we do hang out. she just moved to laguna beach so we spent the day at a local beach, soaking up the sun and catching up. i kinda wish everyday was a beach day with devon. i sure do love this girl
